Grande Prairie nurses to discuss negotiations and pensions at town hall meeting

More than 300 UNA members packed a room in Calgary on January 28 to hear the latest news about provincial negotiations and the future of the Local Authorities Pension Plan.

United Nurses of Alberta members in north west Alberta are encouraged to attend a town hall meeting on Wednesday, January 29 at the Pomeroy Hotel (11633 100 Street) in Grande Prairie. Doors open at 18:30 and the meeting will be held from 19:00-20:30.

UNA has hosted town hall meetings across Alberta this montg, giving UNA members an opportunity to discuss their concerns about the drastic changes to their provincial collective agreement proposed by employers and changes proposed by the provincial government that will impact the the Local Authorities Pension Plan.

These meetings are open to UNA members only. Participants will be required to show their UNA membership card to attend.

Refreshments (tea, coffee, pop) will be made available at the meetings.
