Friends of Medicare plan Medicine Hat long-term care forum Oct. 14

Friends of Medicare will hold a public forum on Oct. 14 in Medicine Hat on the state of long-term care in the southeast Alberta city and throughout the province.

The question to be asked at the open forum, starting at 7 p.m. in the Medicine Hat Public Library Theatre, 414 – First Street SE: “Long-term care in Alberta: is it the problem or solution to your wait-time in Emergency?”

Friends of Medicare asks participants to bring their ideas about how health care in Alberta can be improved and questions for the speakers, who will include ’Hat physician Dr. Paul Parks, spokesperson of the Alberta Medical Association’s Emergency Medicine Section.
