UNA negotiates with Chantelle Management Ltd.

Representatives of United Nurses of Alberta Local 37 at the Grande Prairie Care Centre and Local 172 at the Edith Cavell Care Centre in Lethbridge will begin negotiations for a new contract with Chantelle Management Ltd. on October 29, 30 and 31, 2014. 

Collective agreements for UNA members working at both worksites expired on June 30, 2013. The current agreement will continue until a new contract is signed.

UNA provides a wide range of services to its members. A key role is negotiating the excellent collective agreements that regulate salaries, benefits, schedules and working conditions of members. UNA also administers its agreements to resolve disputes, improve working conditions and protect nurses’ workplace rights.

In August 2014, UNA members ratified a provincial collective agreement with Alberta Health Services, Covenant Health, Bethany Care (Camrose) and Lamont Health Centre.

United Nurses of Alberta is the union for more than 30,000 Registered Nurses, Registered Psychiatric Nurses and allied workers in Alberta.
