UNA statement on attack on nurse at Red Deer Hospital

The thoughts of United Nurses of Alberta members across the province are with the nurse who was injured in an attack over the weekend at the Red Deer Regional Hospital.

The UNA unit representative was on duty at the time of the incident and the UNA Local is in contact with injured member and other colleagues.

Violence in the workplace is unacceptable and UNA will continue to work with the employer to ensure the safety of health care workers and patients is a top priority.
