UNA begins negotiations with the Victorian Order of Nurses

Representatives from United Nurses of Alberta Local 61 will begin negotiations for a new collective agreement with the Victorian Order of Nurses on July 21, 2015.

The previous collective agreement for UNA members employed by VON expired on March 31, 2014. The current contract will continue until a new collective agreement is reached.

UNA provides a wide range of services to its members. A key role is negotiating the excellent collective agreements that regulate salaries, benefits, schedules and working conditions of members. UNA also administers its agreements to resolve disputes, improve working conditions and protect nurses’ workplace rights.

United Nurses of Alberta is the union for more than 30,000 Registered Nurses, Registered Psychiatric Nurses and allied workers in Alberta.
