UNA First Vice-President Jane Sustrik signs a letter to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau calling on the federal government to improve services for First Nations children in Canada.

United Nurses of Alberta First Vice-President Jane Sustrik signed a letter to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau today calling on the federal government to improve services for First Nations children and youth in Canada.

The letter is an initiative of Have a Heart Day, a national child and youth-led reconciliation campaign aimed at bringing together caring Canadians to help ensure First Nations children have the services they need to grow up safely at home, get a good education, be healthy, and be proud of their cultures.

On Feb. 10, 2016, an event will be held on Parliament Hill in Ottawa to raise awareness about this important issue.
