UNA negotiates first contract with Father Lacombe Care Centre

United Nurses of Alberta Local 421 representatives are negotiating a first collective agreement for members employed at the Father Lacombe Care Centre in Calgary. Initial negotiations meetings began in March and are scheduled to continue on May 25, 26 and 27, 2016.

UNA was proud to welcome members of this new local when they joined the union in 2015. Local 421 represents Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides at this worksite.

UNA provides a wide range of services to its members. A key role is negotiating the excellent collective agreements that regulate salaries, benefits, schedules and working conditions of members. UNA also administers its agreements to resolve disputes, improve working conditions and protect nurses’ workplace rights.
