UNA members sharpen their skills at Jasper Labour School

More than sixty members of United Nurses of Alberta participated in the 2017 Jasper Labour School.

More than sixty members of United Nurses of Alberta travelled from across the province to participate in the Jasper Labour School on January 15 to 20, 2017. 

Students attending the annual school, hosted by the Alberta Federation of Labour and the Canadian Labour Congress, were immersed in a wide-range of course topics, including collective bargaining, workers' compensation essentials, labour history, occupational health and safety, mental health and communications for union activists.

Students also heard from numerous guest speakers, including Alberta Premier Rachel Notley, AFL President Gil McGowan and CLC President Hassan Yussuff.
