Donahue Appointed Acting Director of PSNC
An event took place at the AARN which was to shape the future of Alberta nurses forever. In June of 1976, Yvonne Chapman resigned her position as the Director of Collective Bargaining at the AARN and became the Executive Director. She recommended that Bob Donahue, Assistant Employment Relations Officer, be appointed into the Director of Collective Bargaining position, but because Donahue was not a nurse, formal appointment could not be made without a further bylaw change. The PSNC appointed Donahue as Acting Director pending the bylaw change.
