Joint Workshop Re: Improving the Effectiveness of the Grievance Procedure

In October/November, 2006, the Multi-Employer/UNA Joint Committee conducted workshops in each health region for Union and Employer representatives who participate in the grievance process. In response to a number of requests, the Joint Committee is pleased to provide electronic copies of the Workshop Manual and Power Point presentation.
In order to make this material accessible to as many people as possible, it would be greatly appreciated if Employers could post the Workshop Manual and Power Point presentation on their web sites. The material will also be posted on the UNA and HBA Services web sites. Joint Committee recommendations regarding other follow-up and evaluation of the Joint Workshops and identification of potential future joint initiatives are being developed and will be communicated once completed.
In the event that an Employer and UNA Local(s) decide to develop a similar initiative at the local level, members of the provincial Joint Committee would be pleased to offer support or assistance in developing and/or facilitating local initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the grievance process.
