Labour Relations Officer 3 month Temporary position Edmonton
The Labour Relations Officer will be expected to provide a full range of Union Services including contract interpretation, preparation and presentation of grievance/arbitration; coordination or participation in organizing campaigns; contribution and participation in the education and publication activities of the Union and participation in all areas of negotiations.
Required: - Skill and experience in negotiating and grievance handling is essential. - Preparation and presentation of cases to administrative tribunals is essential. - Computer literacy is essential. - Formal
post-secondary education is desirable. - Familiarity with Canadian and Alberta labour laws is desirable. - Excellent written and oral communication skills is required. - Experience within a labour organization is desirable.
