Occupational Health and Safety Officer Full time position Edmonton
The Occupational Health and Safety Officer will be expected to provide a full range of Union Services: providing advice and support to local OH&S Committees, assisting with preparation and presentation of OH&S concerns to the CEO and governing Boards, contributing to and participating in the education and publication activities of the Union in particular as it relates to OH&S, and other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Skill and experience in Occupational Health and Safety is essential, particularly in the health care field
- Computer literacy is essential.
- Formal post-secondary education is required in a related field
- Familiarity with Canadian and Alberta labour laws is essential, particularly Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills is required
