In August 2010, Alberta Health Services released a discussion paper on the potential restructing of the Nursing workforce in Alberta. The document, titled "From Forecast to Planning: Modeling Options for the Alberta Nursing and Health Care Aid Workforce", is a continuation of a previously announced AHS reorganization framed as "Workplace Transformation."
Early in 2010, Alberta Health Services announced Workplace Transformation. It is a plan to move to lower staffing levels, particularly of nurses. AHS presents this plan with engaging catch phrases and promises of consultation. But Nurses remain concerned.
