Friends of Medicare is urging Albertans to write to the Health Minister and to come to the Legislature to hear the debate about the proposed Alberta Health Act.
The Health Act is being debated this week. Friends of Medicare is organizing events to demonstrate opposition to the health Act.

Alberta Health Act Wrong Prescription
• The Act is a step toward removing the province’s Medicare laws that limit or prevent business medicine and private insurance.
• The Act does NOT set the principles for our health care, but gives the Minister the power proclaim them without public debate later.
• The Health Act does nothing to address the urgent issues Albertans face in getting needed services today.
