I just heard the news that you have filed a code of conduct complaint against Mr. Duckett.
I am not sure what nurse he has been following. . . I have spent many months in the hospital due to a double lung transplant. I have watched nurses who are so tired they can hardly take another step. They do not always get their coffee or lunch breaks.
Many are asked to work extra hours beyond their 8 or 12 hour shift. His sarcastic statements are sad and pathetic. I find it hard that a professional with his position and salary would put such degrading and misinformed statements regarding Alberta Nurses on his blog.
Of course, there is a nurse here or there who perhaps shouldn't be in the profession, but show me one profession where every single person is doing 100%. I was a principal prior to my lung transplant and not all teachers are made to be teachers nor do all teachers give 100%. I'll be the first to say so. . . but we are humans.
Good luck and persevere. WE need you. It isn't fair that you have to hear "news" such as this. |
