UNA Secretary/Treasurer Karen Craik and Local 121 member Holly Heffernan were among the supporters who joined more than 60 Air Canada flight attendants represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) at a demonstration in front of Prime Minister Stephen Harper's constituency office in Calgary on October 17, 2011.

As the union representing Air Canada's 6,800 flight attendants, CUPE organized the information picket to condemn the federal Conservative government's unwarranted attack on their collective bargaining rights by using the Canadian Industrial Relations Board to circumvent the collective bargaining rights of members.
