CARNA is proposing a significant bylaw revision to give the Chief Executive Officer position the exclusive ability to make appointments to its working committees.
Up until now the elected CARNA Provincial Council has made the appointments to these committees.
The bylaw amendments were proposed at CARNA Provincial Council at its September 17th meeting.
According to CARNA Bylaws, notice of Bylaw changes must be posted on the CARNA website at least 60 days before the date of any meeting at which it is to be voted on. Members have until November 22, 2010 to provide feedback.
The committees that the CEO will now make all appointments to are:
Registration Committee Registration Review Committee Competence Committee Appeals Committee Hearing Tribunal Complaint Review Committee Reinstatement Review Committee Nursing Educating Provincial Advisory Board
