UNA First Year Nursing Scholarship
UNA will be awarding seven Nursing Scholarships this year, to assist students in their first year of an accredited nursing program in Alberta.
The Scholarships encourage young people, particularly those with a family history in nursing, to take up the profession.
The Scholarships are $750.00 each. The students must be related to a UNA member in good standing, complete a short essay and submit an endorsement (from an unrelated individual) to be eligible for the award.
Completed applications must be received at the UNA Provincial Office no later than 4:30 pm, October 15, 2010. The awards will be announced in late January 2011.
Justin Beaver's (University of Lethbridge) proud father, Keith, is Vice-President of UNA Local #120 at the Lethbridge Regional Health Centre. President Heather Smith presented Justin with the $1,000 scholarship sponsored by CFNU.
