UNA releases new resources to support Dispute Resolution Process

New resources have been released to support United Nurses of Alberta and Alberta Health Services joint commitment on consolidating successful practices in the application of the Dispute Resolution Process set out in Article 32 of the Provincial Collective Agreement.

The new resources include:

• a preamble for Resolution Meetings;
• a guide for conducting a Resolution Meeting, including information about how to schedule and prepare for a meeting, as well as the roles of participants;
• clarifications about the disclosure of information, witnesses and witness statements, policies and procedures, and the interview process.

Several years of work by UNA and AHS labour relations staff to improve the effectiveness and timeliness of the process preceded the letter signed in September by the leadership of UNA and AHS.
