Stay safe. Stay home for the holidays.

'Stay safe and stay home for the holidays' is the message United Nurses of Alberta is sending to Albertans this holiday season.

"They say there’s no place like home for the holidays and this year Alberta’s health care workers want you to stay snug and warm for the holidays at home," UNA President Heather Smith said in a seasonal ad being broacast on radio stations across Alberta starting today.

"If you must go out, remember to wear your mask and always be honest with nurses and other health care workers if you have any symptoms," Smith said, reminding Albertans of the importance of respecting the public health measures put in place to stop the spread of COVID-19. "Lives depend on it."

"We’re all looking forward to a brighter and safer 2021," she concluded.

The ad is being broadcast on radio stations based in Bonnyville, Calgary, Edmonton, Grande Prairie, Lethbridge, Lloydminster, and Medicine Hat.
