UNA Communications Advisor Dave Cournoyer accepts the 'Best use of Social Media' award on behalf of UNA from CALM Associate Editor Nora Loreto at last weekend's annual CALM conference.
UNA is proud to have received the award for 'best use of social media' from the Canadian Association of Labour Media. Awards were presented to unions from across Canada to recognize excellence in Labour Communications at the annual CALM conference, held this year in Edmonton.
With more than 4,000 Likes on Facebook and followers on Twitter, UNA's social media presence has broadened the reach of unionized nurses online.
UNA's Facebook page has grown into a community where members and supporters of UNA are able to engage and share the latest information about their union and the nursing profession.
