UNA’s Southern Alberta Regional Office remains closed today in the aftermath of severe flooding that hit Calgary late last week.
SARO is located in Calgary’s Kensington area, one of the areas of Calgary that had to be evacuated when the nearby Bow River overflowed its banks on Friday.
The immediate area around the office was not flooded and UNA hopes to reopen the office as soon as possible. A note to members will be posted here as soon as a firm reopening time is known.
UNA members in Southern Alberta who need the assistance of a labour relations advisor should call the province-wide toll-free number, 1-800-252-9394.
An Alberta Health Services website provides a full list of the health care facilities, including long-term care centres, that continue to be affected by the flooding.
