The abrupt layoffs of staff members at five Shepherd’s Care seniors’ care facilities in Edmonton will hurt the quality of care for residents.
The afternoon rally took place at Shepherd’s Care Kensington.
Shepherd’s Care Foundation, which runs the centres, plans to replace dietary staff with services provided by a for-profit multinational food service company.
