Future of Alberta and Canada the focus of 2015 Parkland Institute fall conference

Exploring the potential for progressive change offered by Alberta's dramatic spring election is the theme of this year's Parkland Institute fall conference being held at the University of Alberta on Nov. 20, 21 and 22, 2015.

Conference participants will be asked questions about how, after more than forty years of neoliberal policies in Alberta, has our concept of what it means to be progressive shifted and to what extent can truly progressive policy be implemented in our province? Participants will also examine how our province can lead the national conversations about progressive public policy in Canada.

Keynote speakers will include public policy expert Alex Himelfarb and political strategist Kathleen Monk.

Early-bird registration deadline is Oct. 31. Visit the conference website to register or volunteer.

United Nurses of Alberta is a sponsor of this conference.
