Alberta Labour Relations Board grants extension to Alberta Health Services

The Alberta Labour Relations Board has granted an extension to Alberta Health Services to respond to United Nurses of Alberta’s April 5 application for a determination that the union can represent Nurse Practitioners employed by the provincial health care board.

The ALRB said on April 17 that the AHS request, filed on April 10, was granted with UNA’s consent. The employer has until May 7, 2018, to file its response.

When the AHS response has been received by the ALRB, UNA anticipates a resolution conference on the application will be scheduled swiftly.
