Deadline is Monday for Nursing Education Scholarships

The deadline for United Nurses of Alberta’s next round of Nursing Education Scholarships is at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 15.

Applications must be delivered by hand or by postal mail to the UNA Provincial Office. Digital and faxed copies will not be accepted.

The scholarships must be used for the first year of nursing studies in an approved nursing program in Alberta. They are open to students who are related to a UNA member or associate member.

To complete the process, applicants must fill out the application form and write and submit a short essay that answers the question: “How has the United Nurses of Alberta made a difference in the lives of Alberta Nurses?”

UNA will award 10 scholarships of $1,000 each, plus one additional $1,000 award sponsored by the Canadian Federation of Nursing Unions. Winners will be announced early in 2019.
