National Mental Health Nurses Day

The intention of the occasion is to celebrate the accomplishments of mental health nurses nationally and globally and examine the challenges and explore solutions.

The Canadian Federation of Mental Health Nurses said in a statement that Wednesday, February 21, 2024, is the first federally recognized National Mental Health Nurses Day.
 
“We join our colleagues from the United Kingdom to recognize this International Mental Health Nurses’ Day,” the voluntary organization said in a news release. “We invite all mental health nurses, their employers, organizations, associations, unions, scholars, and others to join in celebrating this unique, remarkable, and impactful field of nursing.”
 
The intention of the occasion is to “celebrate the accomplishments of mental health nurses nationally and globally and examine the challenges and explore solutions,” the CFMHN said.
