UNA strongly urges members to attend pension hearings

Starting on June 16, the Standing Committee on Alberta’s Economic Future will be holding hearings on the government’s controversial pension legislation, Bills 9 and 10, which would fundamentally undermine the Local Authorities Pension Plan if passed in their present form.

The LAPP is the main retirement security plan for most members of UNA.

United Nurses of Alberta strongly urges members to attend this month’s public committee hearings to make clear to the MLAs on the committee their concern about proposed changes to their pensions.
