UNA reaches tentative agreement with Revera Inc.

After bargaining meetings in May 2015, representatives of United Nurses of Alberta Locals 107, 137, 201, 235, 401, and 410 have reached a tentative agreement with Revera Inc. for a new collective agreement.

Improvements for UNA members in the four-year tentative agreement include:

  • A 2 per cent salary increase in the second year and 2.25% increase in the third year of the contract
  • Increased RRSP matching contribution to 5.5 per cent on January 1, 2017
  • $200 Employer reimbursement for annual professional association fees for all employees who work 809.1 hours in the previous fiscal year
  • Replacement of Special Leave with Personal Leave
  • $875 Lump Sum Payments every six months
  • New .65 per hour premium for employees who are assigned preceptor duties

Members of these UNA locals will hold a ratification vote in the near future.

UNA provides a wide range of services to its members. A key role is negotiating the excellent collective agreements that regulate salaries, benefits, schedules and working conditions of members. UNA also administers its agreements to resolve disputes, improve working conditions and protect nursesí workplace rights.

UNA is the union for more than 30,000 Registered Nurses, Registered Psychiatric Nurses and allied workers in Alberta.
