UNA members and Revera Inc. ratify four-year collective agreement

Members of United Nurses of Alberta and representatives of Revera Inc. have ratified a new four-year collective agreement.

Highlights of the agreement, which runs from Jan. 1, 2014, to Jan. 1, 2017, include:

  • A 2-per-cent salary increase in the second year and a 2.25-per-cent increase in the third year of the contract
  • An increase in RRSP matching contributions to 5.5 per cent on January 1, 2017
  • A $200 Employer reimbursement for annual professional association fees for all employees who worked 809.1 hours or more in the previous fiscal year
  • An $875 Lump Sum Payments every six months
  • A new .65 per hour premium for employees who are assigned preceptor duties

UNA provides a wide range of services to its members. A key role is negotiating the excellent collective agreements that regulate salaries, benefits, schedules and working conditions of members. UNA also administers its agreements to resolve disputes, improve working conditions and protect nurses’ workplace rights.

UNA is the union for more than 30,000 Registered Nurses, Registered Psychiatric Nurses and allied workers in Alberta.
