New contract ratified by UNA and Hardisty Care Centre in Edmonton

A new two-year collective agreement has been ratified by members of United Nurses of Alberta Local 234 and their employer Park Place Seniors Living at the Hardisty Care Centre in Edmonton.

Highlights of the new contract include:

  • 1 percent retroactive pay in the second year of the contract.
  • Salary increases to match rates in the Provincial Collective Agreement upon ratification.
  • A $2,000 lump sum payment in the first year of the contract.
  • A $500 lump sum payment in the second year of the contract.

UNA provides a wide range of services to its members. A key role is negotiating the excellent collective agreements that regulate salaries, benefits, schedules and working conditions of members. UNA also administers its agreements to resolve disputes, improve working conditions and protect nurses’ workplace rights.
