PrintUNA donates $10,000 to Red Cross in support of Syrian refugees
United Nurses of Alberta is supporting Canadian Red Cross efforts to provide humanitarian relief to refugees fleeing the civil war in Syria. UNA’s Executive Board has approved a $10,000 donation to the Canadian Red Cross, which has been on the support to refugees in the region and in Europe.
Individual UNA members can contribute online to Red Cross Refugee Crisis Appeal. The Government of Canada will match each dollar donated before December 31, 2015. The Government of Alberta will match donations by Albertans to a maximum of $75,000.
