Survey: Occupational stress, compassion fatigue and burnout among nurses

UNA members are encouraged to participate in a survey developed by Dr. Stephanie Maillet, a professor‐researcher from the Université de Moncton (New‐Brunswick). Dr. Maillet is researching the role of emotional intelligence as it relates to occupational stress, compassion fatigue and burnout among nurses.

The survey results will provide valuable data on the prevalence and impact of stress, compassion fatigue and burnout, and the moderating role of emotional intelligence. Your collaboration is of the utmost importance in gathering information to improve understanding of this research subject. Please participate prior to December 2nd, 2016 deadline.

If you are interested in participating in this study, please read the consent form and complete the online survey. The survey should take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

The survey is divided into the following sections: 1. demographic data; 2. nurses’ job content; 3. nurses’ professional quality of life; 4. burnout and 5. emotional intelligence.

Please read the information and consent form page carefully prior to beginning the survey. You are free to participate or not in this study. Completing the survey confirms your voluntary consent to participate in this study. Please be assured that the surveys and all individual data collected will be kept anonymous; information will be used and communicated only in aggregate form. Therefore, it will not be possible to identify participants in any moment of this study.
