Fill the Gallery - Take a stand against pension cuts

Can you help us fill the Alberta Legislature gallery on Wednesday, April 23 at 3:00 p.m? UNA and the Labour Coalition on Pensions are calling on members in the Edmonton area to come to the legislature gallery to show your opposition to the Progressive Conservative government’s imposed changes to the Local Authorities Pension Plan.

Bill 9: The Public-Sector Pension Plans Amendment Act, 2014, is being rammed through the Alberta Legislature and we need your help to turn up the pressure on MLAs to defeat this bill.

Action Request: Fill the legislature gallery in opposition to Bill 9
*Seating is provided on a first-come, first-served basis
When: 3:00 p.m. Wednesday April 23, 2014
Where: Alberta Legislature Gallery 4th Floor, Legislature Building (10800 – 97 Ave. NW, Edmonton)
Please note: signs, flags or banners are not permitted in the legislature gallery.

Bill 9 will likely go into second reading on Tuesday, April 22 and we expect it to be rushed to the next stage the following day. Therefore, we’re calling on you to show up at the gallery for Wednesday.

Anyone can sit in the gallery, seating is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. See you there!
