Join HSAA members at Oct. 24 rally in Calgary

United Nurses of Alberta members are urged to join their colleagues represented by the Health Sciences Association of Alberta to draw public attention to HSAA’s ongoing labour dispute with Alberta Health Services and its impact on patient care.

The Alberta Federation of Labour has asked other unions to join the rally, which will take place from noon to 1 p.m. outside Premier Jim Prentice’s campaign office at #122, 11988 Symons Valley Road N.W., Calgary.

Negotiations between AHS and HSAA broke down on Oct. 7, 2014, when AHS informed the union that it has no mandate to discuss wages or any other monetary items.

HSAA’s previous agreement expired March 31, 2014. HSAA has applied for mediation. HSAA members need our support. Bring banners, signs and flags.
