UNA negotiates with Masterpiece River Ridge

Representatives from United Nurses of Alberta Local 402 will soon begin negotiations for a new collective agreement for UNA members employed at Masterpiece River Ridge in Medicine Hat. Bargaining is scheduled to take place on Dec. 2 and 3, 2014.

The previous collective agreement for UNA members employed at Masterpiece River Ridge expired on June 30, 2014. The current contract will continue until a new collective agreement is reached.

Negotiations will also continue on Dec. 2 between UNA Local 37 at the Grande Prairie Care Centre and Local 172 at the Edith Cavell Care Centre in Lethbridge and their employer, Chantelle Management Ltd.

UNA provides a wide range of services to its members. A key role is negotiating the excellent collective agreements that regulate salaries, benefits, schedules and working conditions of members. UNA also administers its agreements to resolve disputes, improve working conditions and protect nurses’ workplace rights.

United Nurses of Alberta is the union for more than 30,000 Registered Nurses, Registered Psychiatric Nurses and allied workers in Alberta.
