Lethbridge town hall meeting to focus on negotiations and pensions

UNA members in Medicine Hat packed a town hall meeting on January 22 to hear updates about provincial negotiations and proposed changes to the Local Authorities Pension Plan.

United Nurses of Alberta members in southern Alberta are invited to participate in a town hall meeting today in Lethbridge.

Town hall meetings across Alberta have given UNA members opportunities to discuss their concerns about the drastic changes to their provincial collective agreement proposed by Alberta Health Services and changes proposed by the provincial government that could negatively impact the the Local Authorities Pension Plan.

Today's meeting is being held at the Coast Lethbridge Hotel & Conference Centre (526 Mayor Magrath Drive South) in Lethbridge. Doors open at 18:30 and the meeting will take place from 19:00-20:30.

These meetings are open to UNA members only. Participants will be required to show their UNA membership card to attend.

Refreshments (tea, coffee, pop) will be made available at the meetings.
