Live Chat: Health Care Risk Assessments - Do they go far enough?

As the second wave of COVID-19 hits much of Canada, we’re taking stock of the effectiveness of risk assessments by health care workers. During the pandemic, through the labour relations process, many provinces enshrined point-of-care risk assessments as a way for workers to identify risk and be provided with the PPE they request. We’ll be exploring their effectiveness and asking what more needs to be done to make sure all health care workers stay safe and healthy. Join Linda Silas, host and president of the Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions, for this live discussion. Featuring Matt Hiltz, chief negotiator for the New Brunswick Nurses Union, Bev Mathers, chief negotiator for the Ontario Nurses’ Association and Josh Bergman, professional practice specialist for the United Nurses of Alberta.
