Counseling supports available for UNA nurses affected by floods in southern Alberta

Alberta Health Services employees represented by United Nurses of Alberta who are facing personal challenges in wake of floods in southern Alberta are encouraged to seek support from the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP).

EFAP is a confidential and voluntary support service that members and their immediate family members (as defined in their employee benefit plan) can access over the telephone, in-person, and online. EFAP provides counseling supports to help employees manage personal stress, depression, grief and loss, and anxiety.

EFAP is completely confidential within the limits of the law. No one, including your employer, will ever know that you have used the service unless you choose to tell them. There is no cost to use this service.

UNA members can contact EFAP toll-free, 24/7 at 1-877-273-3134.
