UNA members encouraged to take part in Pride Festival and June 9 Parade

United Nurses of Alberta recognizes the outstanding contribution of Edmonton's LGBTQ community and stands proud with them during Edmonton's annual Pride Festival, which begins on Friday, June 8, and runs until Sunday, June 17.

The Alberta Federation of Labour will once again be participating in the annual Whyte Avenue Pride Parade on Saturday, June 9, and UNA members who wish to join the AFL in showing solidarity with Edmonton’s LGBTQ2+ community may meet between 10 a.m. and the parade start at 11 a.m. in the muster area near Whyte and 108th Street. To volunteer and join the AFL group, or for more information, please call 780-483-3021 or email afl@afl.org.

The Young Nurses Take Action Foundation, which includes many UNA members, is also proud to be participating in the parade.

More information about events can be found on the Edmonton Pride Festival website.

The Edmonton Pride Festival Society endeavours to unify and educate by celebrating gender and sexual diversity through a sustainable annual festival and year-round community outreach within the Capital Region.
