UNA members learn new skills at CFNU Prairie Labour School

More than fifty members of UNA participated in this year's CFNU Prairie Labour School in Canmore, Alberta.

More than fifty members of United Nurses of Alberta participated in the Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions Prairie Labour School held last week in Canmore, Alberta. Members attending the school were emersed in courses covering political action, truth and reconciliation, and the impact of the opioid crisis in Canada. 

Students heard from a number of speakers, including CFNU President Linda Silas and UNA President Heather Smith.

The biennial event offers union members a wide variety of educational opportunities and is open to members of UNA, the Saskatchewan Union of Nurses and the Manitoba Nurses Union.
